About Jayne
When I was a little girl, would go visit my aunt and just wander around her beautiful house. I dreamed of living in a house filled with beautiful things.
Now, all grown-up, I wander around the beautiful homes in magazines and on the internet and dream of my house looking like theirs. I have never been very good at coming up with “my own” ideas, but I have always been good at taking an idea and making it my own. I can see a picture and immediately know how I can change it to make it…well…ME.
One problem that I have with making my home as beautiful as I want it is something many of us are struggling with these days. In a word…money. Our budget is tight, so decorating sometimes has to be on the back burner. But while it is, I am figuring out a way for me to be able to afford what I want. Sometimes that means I have to make, or get my husband to make, something that I want. I know there are plenty of DiY blogs out there. It’s where I get a lot of my inspiration. But, that’s the fun! There are so many ways to tweak an idea. Add something here, take away something there, put it together with this, instead of that. As you read my blog, you may think “this is nothing new” and it probably isn’t. It’s just my little twist on it that I like to share. You can find me on Home Talk also.
In this blog you will find decorating ideas, crafts, woodworking projects (my husband will build those), sewing projects, and recipes. If you are a bit confused because you thought you were coming to His Heart and Home, don’t be. This is formerly His Heart and Home. One change I decided to make was to change the name. Has been a long time in the making. I realized with HH&H I wasn’t very focused. My mind tends to bounce all over the place. Now, I want to focus more on what I feel God wanted me to do in the first place. Share what inspires me and how He uses that inspiration for His glory.
I hope you like my little blog. You can subscribe to get email notices each time I post something new. Just add your email address at the right of the blog. Your email address will never be made public. You can also like me on Pinterest.
I can not thank you enough for taking your time to read my little blog. Please let me know you visited by leaving a comment. I read each and every one of them.
Love ya,
Jayne
