Spring is Springing

It is the beginning of March and that means Spring!

I am so ready for Spring. I am not a big fan of winter. By this time next month, all the cold will have past!

I love the first sign of Spring!

 The daffodils blooming.

IMG_0145Some of us call them Buttercups.

IMG_0141The Bradford Pear is about to burst into bloom.

IMG_0147So are the dogwoods.

IMG_0143The rose bushes have their first leaves.

IMG_0148These pretty little purple flowers are in bloom.

IMG_0149I have always thought these were so pretty! The flowers look like velvet. I used to pick them by the handful for my mom when I was a little girl.

As you can tell in the pictures, we have had our first Spring rain.

I love Spring. I love the warmer weather. I love the renewing of life to all that seems dead. I love the longer days. I love the hope that seems to come in Spring. I love how refreshing it is.

Winter is trying its best to hold out just a little longer. The temperatures are still cool and I do still have a fire going in the wood stove. But, I hear more birds singing and I know Spring will be here soon.

Happy March, Y’all!

Love ya,

Thanks for sharing the activity of Spring in your area. We are still in the grips of winter, but our anticipation grows day by day.

You are welcome! Winter hasn’t quite let go here either. It’s going to be cold this week. But I know that the month of March will end much warmer than it began. We are getting some tastes of spring. In the 70’s yesterday and 60’s for the coming weekend. :)

  2. Jayne,

What pretty daffodils! Are those yours from outside, or from a photo somewhere? My bulbs are still buried under feet of snow… but spring is coming. :)

Re your comment on my post “What Every Comparing-Prone Woman Needs to Know,” Jayne, isn’t it true!? I’m glad that this encouraged you too. I found it exciting for my own life. :)

    Have a great week,
