These flowers are pretty and easy to make. They can be made in any color you like. Pastel colors would be pretty for spring and summer. Yellow and orange would go perfectly with fall. In red they would look like poinsettia for Christmas. Even in white they would be lovely. Once you get the hang of it, they don’t take long and you could make a bouquet of them.
- Tissue paper-2 colors
- floral wire
- floral tape
Make two rectangle templates to trace. One should be 1 3/4 inches x 2 3/4 inches. The other is 1 1/4 x 2 inches.
Fold the layers in half, long ways, and cut a rounded edge, starting about half way up the side. Do this to both sizes. Unfold.
To make a petal place 1 layer between your finger and thumb, leaving straight edge uncovered. Wrap the paper around your thumb and twist the straight edge. be careful not to tear it. Repeat for all petals.
Repeat using the large petals. Off center the large petals with the smaller petals. When all petals are on continue wrapping with tape until all wire is covered.
I have to admit that this is not my best one. Make several of these to make a bouquet or just a couple and add with other paper flowers to make a bouquet. I have a couple of other paper flowers patterns you can make to use with this. You can also make some paper leaves to use as filler. These too are on here for you. It will take about an afternoon to make a bouquet. Have fun!!!
