I didn’t mean to stay away from posting for so long. I think the last thing I posted was about getting ready for our lake trip. That was last month. I do have a couple of reasons for not posting in so long.
Reason 1) I have no idea what, but something did not like my eye at the lake. It stung and felt tired the whole weekend. Each morning I would wake up with crust keeping my eye closed and swollen. It wasn’t pink eye. I do know that. I walked around the whole weekend with my hands over my face or my sunglasses on so the light wouldn’t hurt. It even hurt to watch the fireworks.
The only times it felt alright was when we were riding in the boat, or I was standing in front to the AC window unit . The wind blowing on it felt good. Oh, and when I was in the shower.
My eye was still bothering me even after we got back, but got better each day. It was probably, last Wednesday before I didn’t wake up with a swollen eye.
Reason 2) I have been in a lot of thought and prayer about the blog. I have come to realize that I don’t really have my own style. I haven’t been in keeping with my original plans. I feel God leading me in a different direction with the blog. I know (at least I’m pretty sure) He still wants me to blog. My reason for blogging hasn’t been in line with His reason for me blogging, so I’m trying to get in line with Him.
Having said all that, I’m back. I might not post as much this month. You see, part of what I think God is leading me to do is change everything about the blog; the look, the feel, even the name. I am researching how to do that without losing any of you who want to keep getting the emails about new posts. If and when I do make the change, you will have plenty of notice. I promise. Plus, I’m trying to design a look that I like and find a new name that isn’t already taken.
Another reason I may not post so much over the next month is my daughter is moving from her apartment to a duplex and my youngest son is going back to college in a month. We have to go get furniture for the apartment from my sister in Atlanta (Roswell, actually). She gave my daughter her living room suit, since she will be moving to North Dakota in the fall. Then, little bro does his moving two weeks later. If he doesn’t have a car by then, I’ll be driving him back down and helping him move in. They both will be living in the same town.
Plus, we have a youth trip to the lake in a couple of weeks. I hope whatever was bothering my eye is gone!
I do have some yummy recipes to share.
I didn’t even take a single picture at the lake. One, my eye and two, I forgot my camera. My daughter took plenty of pictures I hope to share soon.
I do want to say thank you for being so patient with me and for taking time out of your busy days to read my little blog! I wouldn’t be where I am today if it weren’t for you!
