This is one of my favorite recipes. I first had them at my cousin’s house, but forgot to ask her for the recipe. It took me a while to figure out how to make them, but I think I finally got it.
We have these with hamburgers, steaks, barbecue chicken, just about anything. They are easy and can be varied in so many ways.
- Potatoes–as many as you think your family will eat.
- Shredded cheese- as much as you like.
- Salt to taste
- Bacon bits
Putting It All Together
Dab with butter, as much as you like. Cover with foil and let bake at 350 for about 45 minutes to an hour or until tender.
When finished baking sprinkle with cheese. Salt to taste.
Tonight I added bacon bits. Some nights I leave them plain and don’t even add cheese. We have used seasoned salt instead of regular salt. Chopped onions can be added as well. Spice them up any way you want.
- Shredded Cheese
- Bacon Bits
- Preheat oven to 350. Spray a 9 x 13 baking dish with cooking spray. Peel and cube potatoes. Add dads of butter to the top of the potatoes. Cover dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Sprinkle with shredded cheese and bacon bits, season with salt to taste.
- These can be served without the cheese and bacon bits. For a different flavor, season with chili powder or Italian Seasoning or any seasoning you like.
