As promised, here is the recipe for the grilled chicken My Man grilled for us over the weekend. Was it good!
I do have another Bacon Wrapped Chicken recipe you can do. There are so many ways to do this! I may have to start a Bacon Wrapped Chicken page! haha
MM was preparing the chicken as I took pictures. He had to work fast because the grill was already lit and ready for the chicken. I missed some pictures and some aren’t that great, but you will get the idea.
- Chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
- Shredded cheese
- Sliced ham (like the kind for sandwiches) and we forgot to but this.
Putting It All Together
To make things cheaper, we bought the chicken on the bone and I made it boneless and skinless. Something my mother taught me and told me would come in handy one day.
Of course, while I was learning this skill, I swore I would always buy mine already boneless and skinless.
Of course, she was right!
I didn’t get a picture of this process for a couple of reasons. 1) My hands were covered in chicken and I didn’t want to get my camera messy and 2) I didn’t really think you wanted to see it.
See the bottle laying on its side in the background? Grilled corn! Recipe to come!
MM already had cheese on and rolled before I could get the picture.
The piece of chicken above was so big MM cut it in half.
Place on the grill and cook for 20-25 minutes over med-low heat, turning at least once half way through the cooking time. Check with meat thermometer to make sure the internal temperature is 165 degrees.
Serve with grilled corn on the cob, bake beans, coleslaw, and potato salad. YUMMY!!
