I like to use things in ways they weren’t meant to be used. I have several things around the house I don’t use for what they were made for. Here are some of the ways I use things differently.
I’m not really sure what this is originally, but I use it as a soap dish in my bathroom. I like it because of the rabbit on it. I had an aunt I called Aunt Bunny and I think of her when I look at it. I did break part of it off. Probably got it at a yard sale. Don’t remember.
Sorry this isn’t clear. I got this at a flea market. I had no idea what it was when I was looking at it. I just knew I liked it. The man who sold it to me told me it was a creamer. It held enough cream for a coffee. They used it at restaurants long ago. This is what they had before the plastic things we throw away today. I use it to hold toothpicks. Now I wish I had gotten a couple of more.
Ok, my last for today. I will share more another time. In the middle you see the spoon rest. That is what I use it for. I use the pumpkins during the fall as my spoon rest and the tree at Christmas. They are supposed to be for candy, I think. Again, I liked them and bought them. These I found at the dollar store. I guess I could use them as soap dishes, too.
If you see something you like get it and you can find ways to use them in your home. Look for different ways to use them and it impresses people.
What is something you use differently than what it was meant to be used for?
