Donna, at Funky Junk Interiors, challenged her readers to join her in…
Then she stated it was for the remainder of January and I got even more excited because I have more than one room that needs this challenge!
When Donna first posted about this challenge back in December, she called it Heap of Shame. I loved the name for another reason entirely, which is why I kept the name. More on that later.
The first room to come to mind for this challenge was my sewing/craft room. Also known as the computer room because we used to keep the only desk top computer the family owned in there. You know…before the days of everyone having their own laptop computer.
The pile above is all the items I moved to decorate for Christmas and they haven’t found their way back yet.
Technically, I was working on three spaces at one time. The sewing room, this closet and the linen closet. More on the other two next week.
Here is the completed, cleaned out and organized (for now anyway) room.
I wanted to keep the title Heap of Shame because this theme immediately made me think of my heap of sin and how shameful it is.
Here is my heap of shame from the sewing room, boys’ closet and the linen closet. Not that much really. Most of it came from the linen closet. The sewing room was just messy because I hadn’t put things in their place. I just threw stuff on the desks to get it out-of-the-way and told myself I would deal with it later.
Next week I will show you my Heaps of Shame from the linen closet, the boys’ closet and from under my kitchen sink. It ain’t purdy at all!
Until then, I’ll have some purdy stuff and a recipe!
