Never Forget

FB_IMG_1441971678957 I was sitting on my couch, peeling Apple’s to make apple sauce when my husband came home from work to tell me about it. For the rest of the day I was like all other Americans, glued to the TV watching the events unfold.

I shouldn’t say all Americans. There were those who were actually caught up in this, trying to escape or running in to help.

May we never forget those who lost their lives this day. May we always honor those who ran in to help without giving a thought to their own lives. Some still do it everyday.

Father God, forgive this country for its sin against You. Let today be a reminder, to us, of who You are and that as You were then are still in control today.

About Jayne

I am a housewife desperate to give my heart and home to the Lord. I like to share with others what the Lord has taught to me. Taking care of my family and home are my passion. I like to craft and decorate and to share the ideas I come across with others. I try to find ways to incorporate crafting and decorating with sharing my faith in Jesus.

One Response to Never Forget

  1. Hi Jayne,

yes, I remember 9-11 too, whew. I was at church working in the office when the news came, and we wheeled in a tv to watch the coverage and pray and cry with everyone else.

Today the NPR radio was interviewing a man on the history of Pearl Harbor and his recollections from that time on the anniversary of that date.

Thinking about people around the world who are in war-torn situations everywhere, wow. May they have warmth, safety, and ceasefires!
