Right now my Hot Chocolate recipe seems to be the post with the most hits so here is a link to it! Just click on the word “link.”
I have to admit it is a little expensive, but it is so good!
I guess with this cold weather, people are wanting something warm when they come in from the cold. I can’t blame them. We are having some of our coldest weather of the season and I will probably fix myself some hot chocolate tonight when I’m in front of the fire relaxing.
I like to try to point people to Jesus in all my posts. I’m having a little trouble with the hot chocolate though. Ever notice that hot chocolate isn’t mentioned in the Bible? It has no references to help me out here.
I guess it could go along with giving someone a cup of cold water. If I were coming in out of the cold I wouldn’t want a cup of cold water but something warm, like hot chocolate. Serving a mug of hot chocolate is a kindness. It warms the cold body and spirit. It puts a little smile on your face. It makes you feel as if you matter to someone. Respected. Adding some mini-marshmallows means you took the time to add a little something extra. So, I guess serving someone a mug of hot chocolate is serving the least of these.
I love the way God allow me to see His word in a different light and teaches me simple lessons.
Matthew 10:42
“And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is my disciple, I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward.”

I’ll have to check out the link. I LOVE hot chocolate. I think you’re spot on with the Biblical reference to a “cup of cold water.”
Thanks! It is good hot chocolate!
