My youngest left me some surprises in the kitchen today. Let’s count them…
One…
Six soda cans balanced on my kitchen counters.
This past weekend was a blast for us.
Dillon had a youth lock-in on Friday night and Will and Risha (Will’s girlfriend) came home on Friday. Kathy and Matt came home too, but they stayed at Matt’s parent’s house since Risha was visiting.
Let’s count again.
Will and Kathy’s birthday is January 10th…one.
Matt’s birthday is January 17th…two.
My niece’s, Shelby, birthday is January 25th…three.
My Mother in-law’s birthday is January 30th. That makes four.
Oh wait, we get to count again!
The youth came over last Saturday (the 13th) for a get together. One
Women on Mission came over Thursday for a meeting. Two
January birthday celebration was held here as well on Saturday. That’s three. Three events at my house in one week.
Back to this past weekend. We had so much fun. Family came over for birthday celebrations and Kathy brought the Kinect she got for her birthday from Matt. That ‘s something you can connect to an X-Box that picks up your body moves as you play. Kind of like a Wii. We danced. We played Fruit Ninga. We did track and field events. Well, the runners did them. That would be the boys. We played Uno. We eat smoked pork lion that My Man smoked. That’s where all the cans came from.
I’m counting my blessings! What great blessing I have to count.

Hi Jayne,
Is your man a youth pastor too? What fun to hear of youth gatherings, and regular family birthday parties too. I’m intrigued by the tipping cans! How did he do that?

No, he is not a youth pastor. I used to work with the youth. My son, Dillon is a senior in high school, his last year in youth and he likes to have his friends come over. We do this quite often! Love having them over!!!
A good kind of busy, lots of celebrations.
Yes it was a good kind of busy. Our holidays go from Thanksgiving through the end of January.
