Our Anniversary Trip

I was trying to think of something to post about today and looked at my pictures on my computer to see if I had anything. The very first folder was our anniversary trip. I realized I haven’t shared that with y’all.

A couple of weeks ago it was our 27th wedding anniversary. My Man wanted to make arrangements for us to go somewhere. He asked me where I wanted to go. I told him I would really like to go to the beach, but the beach is a good five-hour drive and I didn’t want to drive that far for just two days. Most of our time would be traveling to and from.

On the other hand, the North Georgia mountains are only a couple of hours away, and it is really pretty up there. So, off to the mountains we went.

IMG_0965Needless to say, it was not the best of weather. Don’t rub your computer screen to get the smug off. It’s on the windshield of the car. haha. Yes, I tried to rub it off, too!

IMG_0966 If you look closely, you can see the mountains in the distance. On a clear day, you can see them well. For those of you who know Georgia, this is Highway 441. We are heading to Rabun Country.

MM made reservations for us at the Dillard House.

I’m not going to tell you a lot about the Dillard House. I put a link to their website under the picture of the restaurant. It is oh! so good eating there! A bit expensive, but you won’t be disappointed in the food.

There is so much more to share with you, but that would make this post way too long! I’ll stop here for today and save the rest for later.

I am very thankful for my marriage. It has not always been easy. We have had our share of some extremely rough times. Times I could have and some probably think I should have, so easily given up. I am so glad I didn’t. Things are better than ever. Oh, we will probably go through some rough water again, but I know that God is already there making a way for us to get through those waters.

If your marriage isn’t what you hoped it would be, or you are going through some really, really, REALLY tough times, hang in there. Run to God and let Him help you. Do not give up. He is at work on the problem, even if it doesn’t feel like it, and He will see you through. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.” I’m praying for you!

Love ya!

I’m glad you were able to have a little get-away. The room looks so comfy! And that’s a pretty nice view, too.

Hearing from you makes my day!
